Ieda Gomes has a broad range of expertise in the natural gas and energy and infrastructure industries with an international career spanning 35 years in the public and private sectors. She was a group leader with BP plc in various roles such as Country President BP Brasil, Vice-President New Ventures Middle East and South Asia, Vice President BP Solar and Regulatory Affairs. Prior to BP Ieda was the CEO of the largest gas utility in Brazil, the Sao Paulo Gas Company.
Ieda is an independent director of The Institute of Directors (UK), Saint Gobain (France), Exterran Corporation (USA), Prumo Logistica (Brazil), and the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain (UK). She is a senior visiting research fellow at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies (UK), member of the Advisory Board of Crystol Energy and Senior Adviser and member of the Advisory Board of Fundação Getúlio Vargas’ FGV Energia (Brazil). Ieda is a founding director of WILL Latam (Women in Leadership in Latin America) an NGO aiming to promote gender diversity and leadership in companies in Brazil and Latin America and Access for Women in Energy, a platform to provide visibility for female speakers in events and conferences.
She has a degree in Chemical Engineering, post-graduation in Environmental Engineering (Polytechnic School of Lausanne) and MSc in Energy (University of São Paulo).
Ieda was awarded the 2001-2002 Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year Award (Brazil). She is a regular columnist at Brasil Energia.
BUSINESS EXPERIENCE: Mr. Rodrigo Costa Lima joined Petrobras in 2005 having held several managerial roles in the Exploration & Production, Gas & Power, and Strategy areas including Executive Gas and Energy Manager between June 2019 and January 2021. Prior to that, Mr. Rodrigo Costa Lima was the executive manager for Strategy. He has also managed activities related to exploration and production. Additionally, Mr. Rodrigo Costa Lima was chairman of the Board of Directors of some Petrobras subsidiaries.
EDUCATION: Mr. Rodrigo Costa Lima holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidade Católica de Salvador. He has also a master’s degree in Business Administration from IBMEC, as well as a MBA in Corporative Finance from Fundação Getulio Vargas
He is currently Executive Manager of Gas and Energy at Petrobras. He has worked at Petrobras since 2004, where he also held technical and management positions in the areas of thermoelectric operation, natural gas supply and logistics, commercialization and marketing of natural gas, LNG and energy. Previously, he worked at Vale do Rio Doce, in the logistics area, and independently on several projects to improve energy efficiency and small-scale renewable energy systems. He holds a degree in electrical engineering and a Master’s degree in energy systems from the Federal University of Pará, and an Executive MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral, with a Post-MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
Civil engeneer, graduated from UFRN, and lawyer, graduated from UNI-RN. Has been working since february 2019 as CEO of Companhia Potiguar de Gás (Potigás), particularly for the implementation of the New Gas Market in Rio Grande do Norte. Current counselor of the Associação Brasileira das Empresas Distribuidoras de Gás Canalizado (Abegás), and actively participates on the REATE Program, focusing on the onshore Potiguar Basin.
