Carlos Alexandre Da Costa – He graduated in Economics from the Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), and obtained a Master’s degree and a PhD (ABD) in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. He was a Director at the BNDES (The Brazilian Development Bank), where he was responsible for the Planning Division, the Credit Division, the Information Technology and Processes Division, and for the Bank’s Communications Department. He also was president of the Instituto de Performance e Liderança (Institute of Performance and Leadership), executive resident of JP Morgan and partner-director of Ibmec Educacional. Mr. Da Costa is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Italian. During his professional career, he has acquired extensive experience in the academic sector as a Professor of Economics and Finance at Ibmec, at UERJ, and at the Instituto Brasileiro de Mercado de Capitais.
Mr. Marcelo Cruz Lopes has an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering
from Universidade Federal Fluminense (Niterói) and a Executive MBA from
Fundação Dom Cabral. He also has a post MBA in Negotiation and leadership
from Kellogs School of Management – Northwestern University.
Since 2005, he has been working for Petrobras and has held several
management positions, including Energy Executive Manager and General
Manager of Operation of Energy Assets.
Since April 2018, Mr. Marcelo Cruz Lopes is Petrobras Natural Gas Executive
Manager, linked to the Natural Gas and Refining Board. He is responsible for
the management of natural gas processing assets, the sale of natural gas and
LNG and natural gas and LNG logistics operations.
